Fewer Apps Privacy Policy

Effective August 29, 2026

The Fewer Apps mobile app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. App inventory, usage evidence, Hibernation state, and your shed record are processed and kept on your device.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Fewer Apps mobile app for iPhone and Android. Fewer Apps helps you identify apps you do not use and decide what to shed.

Data Fewer Apps processes on your device

iPhone

With your permission, Fewer Apps uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to show usage evidence for apps you select. Apple keeps app names and usage inside its private Screen Time views. The main app receives opaque app tokens, not a general inventory of installed apps.

Your selected scope, Hibernation choices, reach counts, and shed journal are stored locally in the app and its App Group containers so Fewer Apps and its Screen Time extensions can work together.

Android

With Usage Access enabled by you in Settings, Fewer Apps reads launchable-app inventory, usage records, last-opened information, and storage totals on the device. Its local journal records apps that Fewer Apps confirms have been removed.

The Android app does not request the INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions. It contains no analytics, advertising, account, or data-upload service.

Data collection and sharing

No one operating Fewer Apps receives your app inventory, usage evidence, selections, Hibernation history, or shed journal. Fewer Apps does not sell data, share data with advertisers, or use data for tracking. No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are included.

Support email and this website

If you email support, your email address, message, and anything you choose to include are used to respond to you. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or app-usage details you do not want included in the support conversation.

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Its hosting, DNS, and security providers may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.

Purchases

Fewer Apps offers one optional non-consumable purchase through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles checkout and payment information under its own privacy policy. Fewer Apps receives only the store-provided product and entitlement state needed to display the price, complete or restore the purchase, and unlock paid features. Fewer Apps does not receive your payment card.

Apple and Google may provide transaction and sales reporting to the publisher. That reporting does not include your app inventory or usage evidence.

Your controls and retention

Changes and contact

If Fewer Apps' data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed app is released. Questions can be sent to support@fewer-apps.com.
